Frame 2 Redo
I made the smoke appear to be in her head by rearranging layers and drawing a line to make her head look complete.

Frame 5 redo.
Frame 1 Redo
After redoing frame 1. Editing the choppiness around the photo and overall making it look smoother. I also editing the girl on the left's hair. The girl on the right, I removed the earbuds hanging from her. Made their arms and shirts solid colors. The left over "choppiness" on the left is her muscles in leggings.

Frame 5
Original photograph taken from Google.
Two bottom photos taken from Google and merged together into the eye.
Playing around with different effects. The second photograph is an attempt to keep the "sketch" look consistent throughout the project.
Frame 1
The original picture.
After taking it into photoshop, removing the background using the magnetic loop tool, and finally thresholding the photo. I decided to add a solid background behind it to give it more a lively feel. I'll play with colors when it comes towards the end of the project. I may redo the cropping out of the two girls or just edit the picture and fix minor details.

Initials Logo: Iterations
Version 1: Contour Line
Version 2: 2 to 3 Color Flat Tones
(Added stroke weight)
Version 3: Clipping Mask
Having trouble deicing if the background should back the mask or the letters. I plan to continue to play around with this version especially.
Version 4: Gradient
I found this iteration rather boring compared to the rest.

Initials Logo
An outline was added to this variation. Unfortunately it takes away from the appeared "connected" pattern of white where the S and R meet.

Initials Logo
At this point of the project, I realized I must redo the letters to make them one connected piece without allowing them to escape the diamond (it's surrounding).

Initials Logo: Geometric Deconstruction
I chose the Superman-like logo concept because it is easily recognizable as well as timeless. Also out of my refined three designs, this was the one that caught people's eyes the most.

AI Contours: Stylized
In this phase of the project, I make use of stroke weight as well as investigating stroke color.
This project has laid a foundation for my skills to come in Adobe Illustrator with a focus on the pen tool and stroke settings.

AI Contours: Basic Contour I
After learning the basics of Adobe Illustrator the first task at hand was to put my newly received knowledge to use.
In this post you see my first project, a tracing of a calculator using mainly the pen tool. The most challenging part of this was and is creating curved lines. I hope to better my skills in that area during my journey in this class.
